Immaculate Heart Academy is committed deeply to providing the highest quality Catholic education for young women from throughout the region. This commitment involves maintaining our current low student/teacher ratio, hiring faculty who excel in intimate educational settings, providing state-of-the-art facilities for all departments and disciplines, and preparing students to be globally competitive in the 21st century. It also includes ensuring that IHA is able to support young women from economically diverse backgrounds and families suffering financial hardships.
With these commitments in mind and grounded both in excellence and social justice, Immaculate Heart Academy has begun the Let Us Go Forward Capital Campaign, led by our Honorary Co-Chairs, Cardinal Theodore McCarrick and Mary Higgins Clark. Inspired by the words of our alma mater, the IHA community is called to look to the future of our school “with courage to do all that is noble and loyal and true.”
We have set an unprecedented goal of raising $5 million over five years to improve our facilities and increase our scholarship endowment. These facility enhancements include the addition of four new classrooms and the creation of both an art studio and fitness center for use by IHA students of all grade levels. We look forward to sharing the details of this campaign with alumnae, parents, and friends over the upcoming months, and are asking for members of our community to consider making a five year pledge to the campaign.
This bold undertaking, without question, will be a challenge. All who are or have been impacted by an IHA education have a great stake and unparalleled opportunity to join in the support of this essential project. When we succeed, we will have assured IHA’s health and viability, maintained its competitiveness with the best schools of its kind in the United States, enabled it to attract the most qualified students, and strengthened the value of an Immaculate Heart Academy diploma. |
